The Affordable Care Act requires most health insurance plans to provide breastfeeding equipment and counseling for pregnant and breastfeeding women.  This includes breastfeeding classes taken before and after baby is born as well as lactation counseling sessions, so long as these services are offered by a trained provider such as a Certified Lactation Counselor. Stephanie will gladly provide you with a coded invoice that you can submit to your insurance provider to be reimbursed for her services.  As every insurance plan is different, reimbursement is not guaranteed.  Check with your insurance provider for details specific to your plan.
