Newborn Care 101

You've taken your childbirth education class, have painted the nursery, and are going to prenatal yoga but what happens when you get home with your new bundle of joy? Our Newborn Care 101 class is the only baby class you'll need!

In this class you'll learn about:
- Feeding: bottles, cleaning, routine, making baby food and introducing solids
- Breastfeeding and nutrition
- Baby gear & registry: what you *do* need and what you *don't* need
- Wellness: bathing, nail care, cradle cap, dental/oral care, umbilical cord and circumcisions
- SIDS risks, car seat safety, infant CPR basics (*not* a certification)
- Caring for mom (self and partner)
- Routines, play, development and milestones
- Placenta encapsulation
- Babywearing: benefits and options
- Vaccines: schedule and options
- Sleep: healthy habits, safe practices, establishing routine
- Tips for calming fussy babies
- Infant massage and bonding

Taught by Chelsea Vail - B.S. in Early Child Development, M.A. in Counseling and Play Therapy and a Certified Child LIfe Specialist. 

Who should take this class:
- Anyone expecting a baby in 2015
- Nannies and grandparents (ticket cost is per couple; additional caregivers can be added for $25)

How much is your investment:
- $125 per couple (additional caregivers can be added for $25 per person)
