Whether this is your first outing with your little one, or your baby is a bit older, The Breastfeeding Cafe at AustinBorn is a safe space for both of you. The other moms will not mind if you are late, your baby cries the whole time, you leak milk, and/or you are not yet comfortable with anyone else touching your baby. It's OK, we get it.
The BFcafe @AustinBorn includes:
- Weekly group meeting for breastfeeding moms & babies, led by a lactation counselor
- A chance for everyone to share their joys and struggles with breastfeeding and with parenting a newborn
- Support and encouragement to reach your breastfeeding goals
- Coffee, tea and snacks (breastfeeding is hungry & thirsty work)
NOTE: The 5 or 10 Mama Thrive Pass is good for the BFcafe, as well as The Circle postpartum group.
EXTRA NOTE: The BFcafe is not a real cafe, in the sense that there are no waiters or baristas, nor is it located in a public cafe. We meet in the privacy and coziness of AustinBorn, with just other breastfeeding moms and babies. Snacks and coffee/tea are available on the sideboard, and you are welcome to help yourself.
